Seguin Heritage Museum has a great following on

A lot of our events have received generous mention on that site.

So, in return I am reminding readers to check out one of their events, visit their site, as well.

The Gruenau Hall Gala will be held Sat. Mar. 6 and is a fundraising event to benefit the completion of construction of Grenau Hall.

All tickets are in advance none will be sold at the door and info is available by calling 564.3144(Bill/Debbie Niemeier) or visiting http://gruenauhall.com/default.aspx.

The Gruenau Turn and Schuetzen Verein was formed in 1898 much like similar sites in Guadalupe and Comal County. It was begun as an athletic and shooting club in the Gruenau community by German immigrants. By 1928 the organization had buillt the Gruenau Hall which was very popular with area residents.

]This historic landmark was lost to a fire on Jan. 17, 2007 and since that time members of Gruenau have been rebuilding. They are now in stage 3 of construction with a completion date and reopen date of late summer 2010. They would like to thank countless people for their generosity in accomplishing and moving forward in this task.
