Noted Sculptress to exhibit work at Museum

"Seeing is Believing" Wood Sculpture by Marika Bordes: Exhibit Unveiling Ceremony--This exhibit provided by Seguin's renowned wood sculptress, Marika Bordes, along with her students' work, will debut with an unveiling ceremony and exhibit which will continue until the end of 2010. Bordes has collaborated with 7 of her students in their creations for a remarkable event . Centerpiece of the display will be the 14' statue o...f "Wahir", carved and formed from a chinaberry tree provided by John Schwarz of Seguin. This statue is a representation of the central figure in "Lord of the Rings" and will be available for viewing from the ground floor of the museum and from looking down from the museum's second floor exhibit hall.
There is no admission , refreshments will be provided and donations will be accepted to help cover expenses . Donations are tax deductible and can be written to Seguin Heritage Museum.
